History

The Dark Legacy originated on August 28, 2006 by Fallensaint, Hatt (aka Ianis), Stepdrag, and Clubfoot. They had previously been playing on Suramar as Alliance and were very fed up with all the drama and end game hungry people. They had always made new toons on other servers but really never stuck with them and went back to their old server to play their level 60's. Fallen and Club did a good amount of end game, including BWL, MC, AQ, ZG, but never got into Naxx. They were very determined to level up these toons and make their own guild. Clubfoot made the guild for one reason at the very beginning: to hang out with his friends and people he met along the way.

Krossbones was a good friend of his from school and they told him he should start playing on Tanaris and level up a DPS toon. They had planned their groups Tank, Priest, DPS, and Hybrid. They then went on from 1-40 running instances whenever they could and quested as much as possible. At 60 the guild was growing fast. TDL started ZG about 2 weeks before BC came out, and unfortunately were unable to progress too far into it./

At this point, the founding members decided that it was time to move on and start new endeavours. Control of the guild was left in the hands of Satagis (Aula), who to this day still holds the GM position. Since the beginning of TDL, the motives have thus changed from a social guild, to a serious raiding guild. With the help of the officers, and the hard work of the guild, TDL cleared Black Temple and Mount Hyjal, and was 1/6 Sunwell Plateau in Burning Crusade.

As the following Wrath of the Lich King expansion emerged, TDL continued to push forward as a menacing progression guild. Throughout WOTLK, TDL became one of the only raiding guilds to survive and flourish to true end game Horde-side on the Tanaris server in 25 mans; many had disbanded, or had fallen behind in progression. By the time WOTLK came to an end, TDL was 12/12 ICC25, 11/12 ICC25 HM, and had successfully cleared ICC10 on normal and hard mode, including the Lich King.

With Cataclysm looming on the ever-approaching horizon, it is only a matter of time before TDL strikes up its raiders once again, gathers it's arsenal of talent and dedication, and preps for total war against a foe both new and old, risen from the depths of Deepholm: Deathwing.

Prepare for battle, dragon.
