| These have been laid down as general guild rules for all situations. These are simple rules, and most should be common sense. If you expect to get anywhere in this guild, don't stray from this list. 1. As a general rule, members are expected to behave in a professional manner, both within the guild, as well as representatives of our guild to the gaming community as a whole. 2. Ninja activities either within a guild party or in a PUG will be automatic grounds for guild removal. 3. If a fellow guild member needs help or asks for help in the guild chat, please do your best to help them. However, do not continuously beg for help. It's immature. 4. There is no tolerance for discrimination or negative remarks with regards to race, religion or sexual orientation. If asked by a guild officer to end chat on a topic felt to be detrimental to the guild, members will do so immediately. Repeat violations will result in expulsion from the guild. This includes absolutely no joking regarding violence against women. There will be no exceptions. 5. Please keep discussion regarding relationships to a minimum while in guild chat. It can be a very sensitive issue at times, and to be safe, it is advised to keep all related chat to whispers, in order to refrain from infringing on someone else's comfort zone. 6. Be appropriate with your language. Although we are lenient, do not take advantage of it. If you have a question about what is inappropriate, please contact an officer or Aula. 7. Forum posts must also be respectful in nature, with appropriate language and content. Non-stickied forum posts will be deleted after two to three weeks time, for the sake of keeping the forum organized. An archive of all old posts will be kept for reference purposes, and will available to mods and admins as needed. 8. New ideas are always welcome on the forums! Whether it be site or forum related, or you have a new idea for the guild, don't be afraid to voice your opinion. We always have open ears (or rather, open eyes) to new things. TDL's sole purpose in this game is to raid. Our goals are to see all end-game content, and to see it in a reasonable amount of time. However, we are not your typical hardcore raiding guild. We prefer to title ourselves as 'semi-hardcore'. In the sense of our raiding schedule, and our commitment to raiding, we are hardcore. Attendance, on the other hand, is simply encouraged, not required. Though, if you expect to be part of our core squad, active attemdance will end up being quite important. We have a few simple guidelines that we run with when it comes to raids. Below is a brief listing of these; more detailed instructions can be acquired from an officer in-game. 1. When it's raid time, it's game time. No jokes, no chit-chat, no screwing around period. People show up to raid, not converse. After a few warnings, you will be sidelined if you do not obey. 2. First pull is at 8pm. That means show up at 7:45. Real life does not allow this to happen 100% of the time, and this is understandable. However, if the right people are available at that time, don't necessarily expect us to wait for you. 3. Prepare. Do not attend a raid without your proper buff items (flasks, food, reagents, etc.). Continued forgetfulness may result if your loss of a raid slot. Also, read on boss fights. We will cover fights briefly, as well as assignments, while we buff prior to pulling. If you have questions, ask them instead of guessing, but try to take care of that outside of raid time. 4. Above all else, enjoy yourself. Believe it or not, it is possible to be serious and still have fun :) As far as loot is concerned, we run an EP/GP (Effort Point/Gear Point) system. Current numbers are shown on the loot page, and a detailed post regarding how the loot system works is posted in the forums. If you have any questions regarding this, and that post cannot help you, please contact an officer in-game. If you have any questions about these rules, you may contact an administrator on the forums, or an officer in-game. |
